December Activities

December has been a month of Jingle Bells! We sang the song "Must be Santa" and answered the question "WHO...?"

We played up in the gym and in the classroom doing games with Christmas Bows:  throwing the bows, putting them in buckets, and bouncing them on a parachute :)

We made baking soda fizz with coloured vinegar.  The children used words and pictures to tell us the colours they wanted to use.

The kids played the bells and sang Jingle Bells, and "Ring the Bells"

January and February Activities

January and February Activities

It has been a long time since our last post.  We have continued to have lots of fun learning.  Here are some of the activities we have been doing!!

We counted snowballs and bounced them on our parachute :)

We talked about matching and painted magic matching mittens.

We made red playdough together measuring, mixing, and pouring.

Our two main songs were "Head and Shoulders" and "5 Little Monkeys."  The children loved playing with the monkeys and carrying them around the class or putting them to bed.

We sang a song called "Peek a boo!" that the kids got lots of giggles out of and everyone participated.

We also made our own 5 Little Monkeys story books.  The children practised using scissors and glue and retelling the story.

We also try and do some connecting calming activities.  We have been doing a variety of deep breathing and we also tried colouring our own mandalas.
